Jaime King is an unbelievably beautiful mother, actress, model, advocate, and friend.
You might know her from a few different things: modeling for Vogue, Allure and Seventeen, starring in the hit CW show Hart of Dixie, and being Taylor Swift’s BFF. But Jaime is more than just those things. She’s a huge advocate for women’s rights, protecting women in abusive relationships, and showing the importance of sisterhood.
Let’s go back to how her career started though. She began modeling at age 14, where she was picked up by Company Management. Since then, she has modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch, Chanel, Vogue, Allure, Seventeen, and has done some Revlon advertising. During her modeling career, Jaime struggled with a drug addiction and depression. It was after the death of her photographer and boyfriend that she decided to turn her life around, being an inspiration to everyone in, and even out of, the modeling industry.
Since then, she began acting and is now a role model for women all over the globe. Jamie made her acting debut in the major Hollywood movie Pearl Harbor. After that, she was in a few other series, but her most recent acting role was in the CW show Hart of Dixie. She starred as Lemon Breeland, the southern, uptight enemy of Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson). But her character starts to grow on you when you realize she is just another girl, trying to live in the pressure of southern beauty.
Along with acting, she advocates for women empowerment in any way possible. From supporting fellow actresses like Reese Witherspoon in their pursuit for gender equality…
…to promoting her niece’s work on #girlgaze…
…to being so ultra proud of her BFF Taylor Swift; she loves girl power.
We love Jaime King. Any woman who wants to empower her friends, empower other women and be an inspiration to us all will forever be our #WCW.
