I would like to share with you my obsession. It started maybe about a year ago and has escalated ever since. Yes, I’m talking Primark, people! If you’ve ever seen any of the British YouTuber channels and watched any of their hauls, especially Zoella, you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s no joke that the Irish super clothing store, Primark, is a game changer.
Just a few short months ago, Primark opened their second US store, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The megastore came highly anticipated to say the least.
So why am I, and many others around the world, so obsessed?
- Selection: I’m not kidding when I say that Primark has nearly everything under the sun. From home goods to loungewear to athletic wear, the choices that you have are unreal. Think Forever 21, on steroids and with more on-trend, realistic choices. The only tiny complaint that I have is that the makeup and cosmetics department doesn’t really carry great brands or products, and comes off cheap-looking. Yes, their clothing selections are overwhelming and I come home exhausted, but also super happy about my purchases.
- Affordability: Primark truly doesn’t break the bank, even if you go on a small shopping rampage (yeah been there), and you can find many of the items that you desire for under $20. In my opinion, much of the merch is cuter than let’s say Target or Forever 21. Now that’s not to say that I won’t be shopping anywhere else, because let’s face it, I’m a shopaholic and I need variety. But with their super affordable prices, Primark is a wonderful addition to my world 😊
- Ethics: If you are anything like me, you stepped into Primark, instantly fell in love, looked at the prices and wondered how in the world they are managing to pull this off? Don’t worry, I did the research for you. You can find out about how they run their business operations here. Basically, they work really hard to make sure the conditions for factory workers are up to par, they are paid a fair wage and that they are given equal opportunities for employment.
All in all, Primark is killing the retail game and may even change the way America shops. My personal collection from the shop grows weekly (not even kidding).
