The Bachelor Diaries: Final Four

As most of you know by now, Becca and Emily were sent home last week with broken hearts. We are down to the final four ladies and each one of them gets to bring the handsome Ben Higgins to meet their families. I decided to let you know about each of the remaining girls this week leading up to hometown dates.

She has been the front runner for my fantasy team all along. Besides the little hiccup named Leah, she seems super sweet and genuine about her reasons for being there. Ben took her on a date around his hometown; she got to see where he grew up and where he played football on Friday nights. They spent most of their date at the community center Ben worked at for 4 years. Ben was able to see what kind of person Lauren was around children and I think he was impressed; he also showed that he would make an incredible dad. They ended the date at a dive bar and Lauren was able to meet some of his long time friends. I think Lauren will be in the final two.

To me, she seemed to float under the radar. She had a good first date with him but I guess since there hasn’t been much drama associated with her, she hadn’t impressed me too much until this week. She told the cameras that she is having a hard time letting herself completely fall which is understandable— only one woman can win. Ben and JoJo had an amazing time exploring Wrigley Field. Clearly, Ben is a major Cubs fan, he said it like 100 times. He also said that he felt the most like himself when he is around JoJo and he also feels an insane attraction to her. JoJo opened up over dinner and told Ben that she was falling for him. I think JoJo will also be in the final two. I’m not sure if she will be THE one because attraction can only go so far.

She was on the last group date of this season. Amanda along with Becca and Calia enjoyed an awkward paddle boat ride and fun time catching butterflies. The date was cut short because Ben was going to give the group date rose out after he chatted with each of them. The winner of the rose got to spend the rest of the day with Ben. When it was Amanda’s turn to talk to Ben, she expressed how nervous she was about the potential of him meeting her kids next week. She had never introduce any man to them so this was a big step. Ben could sense her hesitation and need for validation, so he gave her the group rose to show that he was serious. I think Amanda will be safe through hometown weeks, but I’m not sure Ben is ready to be not only a husband, but a dad.

THE BACHELOR - "Episode 2001" - One by one, the gorgeous bachelorettes are prepared to make a lasting first impression. The stakes are high as the long, stressful first night winds down and it's time for the first rose ceremony of the season. Twenty-one lucky women will continue their journey to win Ben's heart, as this highly anticipated 20th season of ABC's hit romance reality series, "The Bachelor," premieres on MONDAY, JANUARY 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m., EST), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Rick Rowell) CAILA, BEN HIGGINS

She fell to the back burner this week. Ben seemed to be really into her a few weeks ago, but it seems that his feelings are developing more strongly in other relationships. She didn’t get much validation this week, even playing for Ben’s compassionate side by telling him she thinks her family won’t be enough for him. I’m interested to see how her hometown date goes but sadly I don’t think it will be enough to save her this week.

Now I know better than to believe or really read into the previews for the upcoming weeks too much, but I just can’t help myself. They keep showing Ben at the end saying that he made a mistake and sent the wrong person home. My guess is he sends Lauren home, but when it comes to telling JoJo she is THE one he has second thoughts and chooses Lauren. Yes, yes I know they put a bunch of random clips together to make it look like there is more going on, but humor me. That’s it for this week, until next time my sweet, sweet friends!

I’m 24… living the dream of a 1D fangirl. When I’m not obsessing over each and every one of them, I’m working full time as a recruiter and helping people find work. I love my family, I have the best friends a gal could ask for and I have the cutest pit bull named Jaida. I spend most evenings watching YouTube videos, browsing Pinterest and watching This is Us. How many times is too many times to watch that movie? The limit does not exist…
