I don’t know about you guys, but some mornings I cannot drag myself out of bed for the life of me. I just want to stay in bed all day and sleep. On mornings like this, my alarm clock is seriously abused and ignored. I hit snooze at least five time and then guess what? I’m running SO late and my morning goes from sleep to stress in about two seconds. So I like to keep a few handy dandy products in my bag for mornings like this because I admit that they come quite often.
Concealer is my number one must have makeup item in my bag AT ALL TIMES. My under eye circles look really bad somedays, so leaving the house without concealer is a HUGE no-no for me. My favorite concealer is from the Fit Me line by Maybelline. I usually go for shade 1 (fair) and just blend it out with my fingers.
BB Cream is one of the best creations ever. It’s lighter than foundation, has decent coverage, contains SPF and acts as a moisturizer, which is great for days that I’m running late. I put this on after I have applied some concealer under my eyes and on my problematic areas (aka areas I tend to get very inconvenient breakouts). You can use a brush to apply the BB Cream, but I tend to not use any brushes besides a kabuki brush on days that I’m scrambling around. The only downside to BB Creams are that they can sometimes leave my skin looking extra shiny. But that’s why I carry the next item in my bag. I use the Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light/Medium. It’s my favorite drugstore BB Cream. Also, here’s a link to the retractable kabuki brush I use.
Pressed Powder (and a retractable kabuki brush)
The Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. My skin gets really oily somedays, but you’d never be able to tell because this powder masks it beautifully. I ALWAYS have this powder and a retractable kabuki brush in my bag. I use the powder in Transparent because I’m too lazy to try to match it with my foundation. But seriously, you have to try it. It’s cheap and it works.
I try to look as put together as I can on days that I overslept. Mascara is my best friend. Two coats and bam! Suddenly I don’t feel like such a mess anymore. I’ve tried a gazillion mascaras but I found out that the Covergirl Lashblast Volume mascara will always be the best.
Perfume & Deodorant
You might feel a little stinky if you had to skip your morning shower, but it’s a good thing body spray and deodorant exist. My favorite perfume at the moment is the Pearberry body mist from Bath & Body Works.
My hair tends to get oily super easy, so I consider dry shampoo my savior. It’s also the most amazing product to have in your bag for mornings that you just have to get up and get out of the door. I really love the Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo from Suave.
Oil Blotting Sheets
Oil blotting sheets are incredible! They should just be in everyone’s bag at all times. I can’t leave my house without them. My favorite oil blotting sheets are the green tea kind from Boscia. I buy them at Sephora. They’re not exactly the cheapest things in the world, but they’re totally worth the investment. I’ve also tried the Clean & Clear brand. They’re not bad, I just personally prefer the Boscia oil blotting sheets.
You don’t want to have your lips looking crusty and chapped and gross. I always have an Eos egg and Bigelow gloss with me. I like minty lip products, so the Sweet Mint Eos lip balm and the Ultra Mentha Lip Shine are my favorites.
Keep your breathe fresh. Always. Just do it. Gum or mints are an essential for every bag.
So, if you’re like me and you love your bed a little too much sometimes, then I definitely recommend keeping these items in your bag. I’m not exaggerating when I say that these products are superheroes because they really do save you on days that you are running behind. It takes at most ten to fifteen minutes to use them all to fix yourself up a bit so you don’t look like the mess that was your morning. I’ve used all these products for quite a while, so from my experience, they’re totally trustworthy. I hope this “Get Up and Go” bag helped you out!
