Ellie Goulding’s New Single: On My Mind

If you’re an Ellie Goulding fan, you know it’s been more than two years since Ellie’s released an album (her Halcyon Days came out in August 2013!) and, to say the least, we’re ready for new music.

On Monday, our hearts rejoiced when Ellie posted this cryptic video with no sound and today’s date as the caption:

17 / 9 / 15

Because, obviously, it meant NEW MUSIC. As good fans, we waited patiently for more information, and Ellie didn’t disappoint.

On Tuesday, she posted this short clip with a snippet from the song, called On My Mind, making our hearts go aflutter:

To say the least, we were PUMPED.

It’s been more than 6 months since Ellie put out Love Me Like You Do, and while we’re still jamming to it around the office, our ears yearned for MORE.

On Wednesday, in true Ellie fashion, she teased the song further and posted this snippet, which also revealed the name of her new album!!:

At this point, we were absolutely buzzing for this new music and album, and honestly we don’t understand how people can wait months for a new song; we could barely stand waiting two DAYS.

Then, around 6:30am EST- which is about 11:30am in London- On My Mind DROPPED.

We’re definitely going to have it on repeat all day at the office, IT’S THAT GOOD.

Have a listen!

Cheekily enough, Ellie announced (accidental or not) the name of her album…TWO YEARS AGO, as one fan caught this week:
