It’s finally that time of year where I have a little bit more down time than usual. I guess I could be doing something more productive, but watching something on Netflix will do. And just like always, I find myself searching for something good to watch more than I watch a show. What can I say? I’m a picky person. I like to make sure the television series and movies I watch are worth my time.
So if you’re like me, a rather picky person, I think you’ll enjoy these 10 shows on Netflix right off the bat.
Jane the Virgin
I’m not sure why a lot more people aren’t talking about this quirky show. You feel all of the emotions that Jane is going through when she is accidentally artificially inseminated. Friendly reminder: there’s something around every corner that will make you shout “WTF!”
Orange is the New Black
I finished all 3 seasons in just 3 short days, and now I’m pacing back and forth waiting for season 4 (June 17th). These remarkable ladies are making the most out of their stay in prison, bringing a light-hearted tone throughout the whole series.
I was iffy about starting this cartoon series because well… it’s a cartoon series. BUT I’m so glad I caved because this is the funniest show I’ve watched. Tina is my favorite person in the world. Just watch and you’ll understand.
The last time I watched E.T. (before watching it on Netflix) was several years ago on VHS. Oi, I feel old. There’s a lot more that I picked up on while watching it at this age rather than watching it on VHS when I was 5.
One Tree Hill
If you haven’t watched this series, then I suggest you start now. This show will send you through a tunnel of feels. I’m going to stop myself now before I end up talking your ear off about my love for Nathan Scott.
This movie is equally adorable as it is frustrating. There will be times when tears will be rolling down your face and you won’t know if it’s from crying or laughing.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Looking for a good cry? You can find it here, brought to you by the power of the traveling pants.
Okay, so this is a really really sad documentary, but it’s extremely eye opening.
“Don’t go to SeaWorld.”- Harry Styles
An unconventional love story. This movie made me fall in love with Elizabeth Olsen as an actress!
The Twilight Zone
I love the suspense of this older show. I think the black and white picture makes it creepier. Each episode brings a new situation so you won’t get ever get bored.
What are you waiting for? Take the day off and enjoy!
